Port-forwarding in VMware

you don't port-forward the pc. You have to port-forward the router!!!
In VMware:
Network adapter shall be set to "bridge";
then on the dos prompt "ipconfig", you read the ip assigned by the router to the VMware machine;
in router:
set open port to the IP of the VMware machine (server).
Remember to setup properly the firewall on the router.
