I have a DiamondMax 21 160-GB SATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive,
serial # STM3160215AS.
I
have used it for about 5 years with Windows XP and currently want to
perform a clean installation using Windows XP SP3 with this hard
drive. When I boot from the CD and choose to reinstall, it says that
it does not recognise my hard drive.
Solution
you need to load the drivers for the SATA motherboard/controller, and hit F6 during the boot.
