Internetbenutzer mit Torpark ---> ISP ---> Torpark-Netzwerk ---> Webserver

Kim Dotcom Reveals Mega's User Count
The just weeks-old website has crossed the three million registered user threshold.
Following a dramatic year of legal battles with the US over his website "Megaupload," Kim Dotcom launched its replacement, "Mega," just weeks ago. Amidst the buzz about the website's controversy as well as its perks, Dotcom has managed to get his user base up to three million in just several weeks. With the US still seeking his extradition for an accused $500 million worth of losses in copyright infringement from Megaupload, Dotcom has placed himself as a soldier for internet privacy and freedom. "Mega is not just a company," he posted, "it's a belief. It's a mission. It's a guardian angel of our rights, freedom, and privacy."
Aside from points of principle, users are also signing up for the massive storage space they get with a free membership. In fact, the unpaid storage allowance is 50GB. By comparison, Dropbox offers 2GB with a free membership. Users are also taking advantage of the apparent security f the website, which allegedly uses military-grade encryption to protect users' data. According to the official Mega Blog, all of the security issues with the site are posted as they are discovered, allowing for complete transparency. Users of Mega are looking forward to the future as well. With a focus on privacy, the website is to be expanded into the social media, email, and video chat markets among others. The web millionaire is certainly proud of the rapid growth of Mega, but he believes it is a reflection of what users want. "Mega's growing popularity is confirmation," he tweeted this morning. "Privacy matters."

Windows File Sharing
- PCs which are not XP must have TCP/IP installed.
- Each PC must have a unique computer name.
- Each PC must have a network share defined.
- ALL NICS must be on the same subnet (e.g. IP 192.168.0.* subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
- XP PCs must have Netbios over TCP/IP enabled (only essential for XP to talk to W9X PCs).
- MS Client and file and printer sharing must be enabled on each NIC.
- All NICs must have their node type = anything except p-node (peer to peer, or point-point). Check at cmd prompt with Ipconfig /all (XP/W2K) or winipcfg (W9X).
- XP's ICF firewall is permanently disabled. (Only necessary for pre XP SP2).
- All 3rd party firewalls are disabled, uninstalled and deleted (until connection is working).
- PCs have the same workgroup (helps, but not essential).
Allow 15 mins after rebooting a PC for that PC to appear in the workgroup, or for it to see all other PCs. Or you can search for the PC by its computer name.
If all the above checked out and still a problem check these:
Other ideas:
- Realtek cards have been known to be a problem with IRQ conflicts. Move the Realtek card to another PCI slot.
- Check your Services are Started on all PCs: Workstation, Server, TCP/IP Netbios helper, Computer Browser.
- You only need TCP/IP. NWLink NetBIOS, NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol are not needed and can confuse things. Remove them.
- XP gives access to its shares via the Guest Account. (Note, the local guest account in user accounts which should be off).
Net Guest Account access is enabled by default in XP, but check it:
At command prompt:
Net user guest
Should return a line with 'Account active yes'.
If not active use:
Net user guest /active:yes
(Still leave the user guest account off)
See link for explanation of guest account:
Check XP Security policies:
- Access this computer from the network: add guest
- Deny logon locally: remove guest
- Network access:Sharing and security model... -- Guest only
- Deny access to this computer from the network-- check Guest is not here.

Vista asks for password trying to connect to other Vista PC
Password Protected: OFF (unless you want to set up identical usernames and passwords on ALL computers in your Network) If you have it ON, and no identical usernames/passwords set up, you will be asked for a username and password when you try to access a Vista computer from an XP computer, or a
Vista computer.
http://willsit.com/XP_Vista.aspx
Well, it is not broken but there a couple of issues you need to resolve and configure to make these two systems “talk” to one another. By “talking” to one another, we mean sharing resources across your home network. Resources could be anything from music files, pictures, or even a printer. In this section, show you the new settings within Vista you need to consider and configure. Vista sees two types of networks, Public and Private.
Navigate to the Network and Sharing Center and take a look at the new features. You will see you connection to the internet and whether it is designated as Private or Public. This would have been determined at the time you made you connection to the internet. For the moment, let’s deal with a private network, which is your network at home. You must have a "Private" network in order to share files within your home environment.
• Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open, change, and create files
• Turn off sharing (people logged onto this machine can still access this folder)
In the graphic below you see a Vista machine named VMVista connected to the internet from within a Private Network. My Workgroup name is named “Wills”. Public File Sharing has been turned on for Network users to “Open, Change, and Create “files. My XP machine (Dell1705) has a Username “John Wills” and so does the Vista machine. I can either “map” a drive to the Public Folder or use “Explorer” to use it.
1. Reader (Default)
2. Contributor – this means the user can modify the data
3. Co-Owner – gives the user full access to the entire folder
4. Remove (after action)
Sharing Files In Windows 7 and XP
Sharing folders between two Windows 7 machines with the new HomeGroup feature is an easy process, but the HomeGroup feature is not compatible with Vista or XP. For this tutorial we are using Windows 7 x64 RC1 and XP Professional SP3 connected through a basic Linksys home wireless router.
First make sure both machines are members of the same Workgroup which by default is named Workgroup.

On the Windows 7 machine go into Control Panel \ All Control Panel Items \ Network and Sharing Center then click on Change advanced sharing settings.

You will want to verify the following settings under Advanced Sharing Settings for the Home or Work and Public profile.

If you want any user to have access the public shares turn off password protection. This is located in Advanced Sharing Settings toward the bottom of the list.

If you want to keep it enabled make sure there is a log in account for the other XP machines and they have a password.

Now if you go into Network in Windows 7 you should see your XP machine and the Windows 7 as well which in this case is Mysticgeek-PC.

To share the printer on the Windows 7 machine go into Devices and Printers from the Start menu and double click on the printer icon.

Next double click on “Customize your printer”.

In the Properties screen click on the Sharing Tab and check the box to share the printer and type in its share name.

If your XP machine is an x86 OS you can install Additional Drivers before setting up the XP machine.

To find the shared folders and devices double click on the Windows 7 machine icon under Network. Here you can see the printer connected to my Windows 7 machine is shared and also the Users Folder.

Continue into the Users folder and Public to see the shared folders, here I also created a folder called XP Share just to keep everything in central location.

Over on your XP machine open up My Network Places to find the Windows 7 (mysticgeek-pc) shared folder.

Double click on the Share folder to find a list of shared folders in the Public folder on Windows 7. If you have password protection enabled you will need to type in the username and password of the user account on the Windows 7 machine first.

Setup XP With Shared Printer
To set up the shared printer in XP you will need to go into Printers and Faxes from the Start menu and kick off the Add Printer Wizard.

Now select “A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer” then hit Next.

Next select “Connect to this printer…” and type in the path for the printer connected to the Windows 7 machine and click next.

Now click Yes to the confirmation message.

Then click Finish the printer to install and complete the Wizard.

In some cases you will need to install the x86 XP drivers for the shared printer because the Windows 7 drivers are not compatible with XP. When everything is installed open up Printers and Faxes to find the shared printer.

This should help you get started with sharing your files and other devices with your Windows 7 machine. When I first started I was able to see the printer on XP right away because I had a HomeGroup set up, but once I deleted it I needed to share the printer like you would for a workgroup. You might also have to do a couple restarts of the XP machine for it to see the shared resources on Windows 7. If you have had any experiences with sharing between Windows 7 and XP leave us a comment!

Decrypter Client for DLC -CCF-RSDF

\\Server\Share is not accessible
You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have addess permissions.
I used a disk imaging software called ShadowProtect from StorageCraft. Everything else is working but NO shares are working...from the server itself. Can't even get to \\server\sysvol.
You can increase the IRPStackSize value.
You must first add this value to the following key if it is not already present:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
Value Name: IRPStackSize
NOTE: It is not always advisable to set the IRPStackSize value to its maximum of 12. Generally, you should start the value at 4 and work your way up, increasing the value by 1 each time.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ lanmanserver \
parameters and check if the string IRPStackSize exists. If it does not exist create a new Dword with the name IRPStackSize.
Data Type: DWORD
Default: 0x4
Maximum: 0xC
Increasing this value requires some memory from the non-allocated memory pool, but the impact should not be noticeable.
NOTE: It is not always advisable to set the IRPStackSize value to its maximum of 12. Generally, you should start the value at 4 and work your way up, increasing the value by 1 each time. The problem may still occur if the value is too high

Dropbox

Copyright Infringement Liability - P2P technology makes it possible to share all kinds of information. Some information is protected by copyright, which means that you generally need the copyright owner's permission before you make it available to other P2P users. Popular music, movies, games, and software are often protected by copyright.
Copyright infringement can result in significant monetary damages, fines and even criminal penalties. Some copyright owners have filed civil lawsuits against individuals that they believe unlawfully distributed large numbers of copyrighted songs. You can learn more about copyright laws at www.p2punited.org/copyright.php.
Click here for information about how this P2P software application can help you avoid committing copyright infringement.
Data Security - P2P software programs let users share information with other users around the globe. They allow users to view the contents of each others' "shared folders." If you have personal information in your shared folder, anyone else using the same P2P software has access to it. Another user could use that information to commit identity theft, or to embarrass you. Please pay attention to the files that you place in, or download to, your shared folder. Don't put information in your shared folder that you aren't comfortable sharing with strangers.
In particular, do not put tax, medical, banking, correspondence or any other sensitive personal files in the same folder as files that are shared via your P2P software program.
Click here for information about how to use this P2P software application to minimize or avoid these data security problems. To report identity theft, or for more information about identity theft, please consult the Federal Trade Commission's Identity Theft Clearinghouse at www.consumer.gov/idtheft/.
Unwanted Exposure to Pornography - P2P software may give users, including children, access to pornography. Some files containing pornography may be deliberately mislabeled to attract young or otherwise unsuspecting viewers. Distributing illegal pornography is a serious crime. Users whose shared folders contain illegal pornographic material, particularly child pornography, could be subject to criminal prosecution.
Click here for information about how to use this P2P software application to minimize or avoid inadvertent exposure to pornography or the illegal redistribution of such materials.
AresGalaxy.org believes strongly that we all must stamp out child pornography.Click here to report suspected child pornography or pornographers to US law enforcement.
Spyware - Files downloaded from the Internet using applications such as Ares P2P may contain spyware that can track your online activity or control your computer. These files will typically be disguised and be undetected by average computer users. Ares P2P is a free opensource project and doesn't include any bundled spyware or adware. Click here for information about the difference between adware and spyware and how this P2P software application can help you avoid spyware.
Viruses - Files downloaded from the Internet using applications such as Ares P2P may carry computer trojans, worms, or viruses that can potentially damage your computer or cause other harms. These files will typically be mislabeled to disguise their true purpose. Click here for information about how this P2P software application can help you avoid computer viruses.
For more information, AresGalaxy.org strongly recommends that the public consult the Federal Trade Commission's website at www.ftc.gov/infosecurity and the Commission's Consumer Alert at www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/idsalrt.htm.
