If you are going to load a router with DD-WRT firmware we highly
suggest purchasing a VPN account from us first and making sure it works
on your computer first. Once you have connected with your computer you
can then disconnect and try it on your router. Here are some suggested
packages (please note any of our VPN packages will work, these are just
suggestions below.
Below is a list of routers and the corresponding DD-WRT files to flash them with. These are the suggested models of routers to use. If your router is not listed here it should be noted that your router may work with DD-WRT but unfortunately we may not support it to the level we do others.
The routers we have listed on this page here have shown to be the most stable and work. DD-WRT has many versions of their firmware, and that sometimes creates problems with VPN's.
You can of course try the connection on your router, but if things don't work properly it could be due to incompatibilities of the DD-WRT firmware and VPN.
For a full list of routers that can use dd-wrt, please see the router database located here http://www.dd-wrt.com

Flashing and replacing the factory firmware with OpenSource firmware can
cause your router to be ruined and non functional, aka "bricked". If
you are going to flash your router with dd-wrt or tomato we advise you
to be very careful and be aware of the firmware and version of router
you have. Follow the instructions carefuly from the Opensource websites
http://www.dd-wrt.com, http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato.
We provide all the information on our website with no implied warranty or promise. You flash your router at your own risk.

Step 1
Download the Initial Firmware File and Upgrade Firmware File which corresponds to your router model, using the above chart.
Step 2
Now you must decide - which setup would you like?2-router setup - The new router's Internet port (also known WAN port, usually labeled with a yellow sticker) plugged into a Local port (also known as LAN port, one of 3-4 grouped-together ports, often with a blue label) of the old router, resulting in two networks - the first router's original network will remain, but the second router provides a second network. All devices connected to the second router are routed through VPN, but you still have the option of connecting to the first router for non-VPN internet access.
1-router setup - The new router is plugged directly into either your modem, or the internet port given to you by your internet provider. When VPN is installed to this single router, all traffic is routed through VPN.
You must complete one of those two configurations before proceeding.
Step 3
Connect your computer to the new router, either via wireless or a wired connection.
