Linux Mint Debian Edition install

PROBLEM:
The primary language of choice is specified in the initial stages of the installation. However, after copying files to the hard disk, the installer connects to the Internet to download `language packs'. I do not know what they are. Depending on the connection speed, this process takes several minutes.
However, I do not see an express need for downloading them _during_ the installation, if at all! Once the installation is completed, the user can certainly download additional language packs, and install them.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Remove this step from the Ubiquity installer for LM. Let users download and install additional language packs, as needed, after booting into the OS post-installation.
