The DIR-600 is a wireless router with one 10/100Base-T WAN port and four 10/100Base-T LAN ports. It uses Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network. The integrated access point complies with IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0) standards, providing wireless transmission speeds of up to 150Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption. A WPS button allows for worry-free wireless security configuration. The router provides VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. It features a built-in SPI firewall to protect the network from malicious attacks. |

Here is how to configure it.
- Download a recommended build for your router. DO NOT USE SP1. If you are using a broadcom router, read the peacock thread prior to starting. http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51486 Use one of those recommended builds.
- Do a HARD reset on your router.
- Connect a cable from your computer to the LAN port on your router.
- Set your computer to a static IP address of 192.168.0.9
- Set your browser to 192.168.0.1 and open the D-Link webgui.
- You should be asked to change your password and username. Carefully type these in. If you aren't asked for a password and username, do a hard reset, this time doing it properly! Hit change password.
- Go FIRST to wireless, wireless security and enter the security type and key that matches your cable modem or ADSL router.
- Hit SAVE, (or APPLY if you wish to)

Does D-Link DIR-600 support Tomato?
TomatoVPN on DIR-600
Tomato is a small, lean and simple replacement firmware for Linksys' WRT54G/GL/GS, Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 and other Broadcom-based routers. It features a new easy to use GUI, a new bandwidth usage monitor, more advanced QOS and access restrictions, enables new wireless features such as WDS and wireless client modes, raises the limits on maximum connections for P2P, allows you to run your custom scripts or telnet/ssh in and do all sorts of things like re-program the SES/AOSS button, adds wireless site survey to see your wifi neighbors, and more.

The build script is currently not run on trunk so no official binary is available.
Build from trunk as the latest release branch 'backfire' doesn't have the build target files. For more information about building see the build documentation.
svn co svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk/ # Build configuration. From 'make menuconfig'; Target system: Ralink RT288x/RT3xxx, Subtarget: RT305x based boards echo CONFIG_TARGET_ramips=y >.config echo CONFIG_TARGET_ramips_rt305x=y >>.config echo CONFIG_TARGET_ramips_rt305x_Default=y >>.config make
When the build process is done (yes, this could take several hours), flash the appropriate generated (openwrt-*-squashfs-factory.bin) file from web interface or from recovery mode (turn off; hold reset; turn on; go tohttp://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1). Use the file matching your router model (IE: openwrt-dir-600-b2-squashfs-factory.bin for DIR-600-b2)
Older trunk revisions (DIR-300-B1 and DIR-600-B2 ONLY)
If using an older trunk revision (pre r27808) you may need to convert the obtained OpenWrt firmware image file into a specific dir-300 or dir-600 format before flashing. For this you require the v2image utility included inftp://gpl.dlink.com/DIR-300_revB/dir300b.v2.02.source.tar.gz
- For DIR-300 B1 Execute:
v2image -v -i openwrt-ramips-rt305x-dir-300-b1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin -o openwrt-dir300b1-squashfs-webflash.bin -d /dev/mtdblock/2 -s wrgn23_dlwbr_dir300b
- For DIR-600 B2 Execute:
v2image -v -i openwrt-ramips-rt305x-dir-300-b1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin -o openwrt-dir600b2-squashfs-webflash.bin -d /dev/mtdblock/2 -s wrgn23_dlwbr_dir600b

Setting to be done on the router:
Here are the steps.
Step 1 is probably not needed but I am posting it just in case.
Only Step 2 should fix it.
[1] Go to advanced tab - Advanced Port Forwarding Rules (http://192.168.0.1/adv_port.php) and configure like this: http://i.imgur.com/TVeIU.png ; Click save settings.
[2] Now go to FIREWALL and DMZ SETTINGS (http://192.168.0.1/adv_firewall.php) and configure like this: http://i.imgur.com/5Uvyd.png (1st 2 entries are present if you've done step 1, the 2rd entry has to be done manually);

and restart the router
Tadaa! :D
Note: It's UDP-443 with Anyconnect, maybe a different port for a different VPN client. Find that and configure accordingly.
Reply back if this worked with anybody else.

You and I are out of luck (as many others, perhaps). I have the very same router (Version B1 / B2 Chipset RT3052F) and the same problem, NO OPENVPN, just PPTP SERVER and PPTP CLIENT.
Last night, I tried to flash this firmware: WHR-G300N-openvpn-webflash.bin to no avail.
OpenVPN-yes, Wireless - yes and all menus appeared as expected (OpenVPN included) but ETHERNET PORTS completely dead. I had no problem to make it work back with former firmware.
Wanna give it a try to WHR-G300N-openvpn-webflash.bin?
This thread gave me the idea: http://www.dd-wrt.co...pic.php?t=61734
-------------
Worked but it has a problen seting up a the OpenVNP doesnt have the commands so its useless
