Do all power supplies fit into a computer case the same way? Power supplies can vary greatly. I don’t want to upgrade to a newer version of Linux quite yet.  Can I still take advantage of dual-core processing? Any Linux distribution that supports Hyperthreading should recognize additional cores on each AMD64 dual-core processor, though due to differences not all cores on all processors may be recognized. The AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 dual-core processor design is true dual core - with two cores on one die. Unlike other designs, it is not two separate processors in one package.
